lyrics
We are your sons
Always by your side
One of your children
Tomorrow shall die
Come a little bit closer
Just let me in
Just a little bit closer
Let the both of us sin
The thoughts of my knife
Make me smile every day
The blood on my hands
Takes my breath away
We all have the power
In our hands to kill
Some of you want to
But just a few will

What I like about Draken too is that the music is fierce but not too macho, aggressive but not dumb. The most important feature is masterfull riffage though, and writing songs that stick in your brain and make you yearn for the time you can bang your head along in front of the stage. I seriously can’t wait to see this live. Weirdo Shrine

This is colossal. I’ve been enjoying these guys for years but this album is next level. They seemed to have found their stride & it’s a biggin’. I feel that they’re heading into the Groove/Rock Genre of Clutch but still carry that epic, larger-than-life sound you’d expect from Zeppelin or later era Soundgarden. Their sound is tighter than a fish’s ass (and that’s water tight) & whatever these guys are doing; I’m loving it. And…the vocals are so, so, so good! I’m excited for their next outing. Harry Harrison
The Brooklyn band deliver a blissful psychedelic rock album steeped in sci-fi and spirituality, awash with organs, strings, and reverb. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 23, 2021

If you like to live on the edge and have no regard for mindless compliance or conformity, this might just be the ticket. But I gotta warn you, Auralayer's Thousand Petals is probably going to duke it out for Album of the Year at Clean and Sober Stoner, maybe even the Doom Charts, against the likes of Hail the Void, Faery Ring, Snakemother and Acid King. Once you cross that line, it can be hard to go back...
